An emotion driven experience

It is extremely fulfilling to work on my annual Year in Review posts. Looking through each gallery and choosing images to share is like seeing your friends that you haven’t seen in over a year. Oh, wait a minute – we haven’t seen most of our friends in a year! 2020 was a year that will not be forgotten. It was also a year that despite the many disappointments, sadness, and fear I learned a lot about myself. I don’t do sitting around well, I like to have several projects going at once. I am one heck of a multi-tasker! But being forced to s l o w down, having all the to-do lists wiped clean I learned that maybe I was in need of actual rest. I began to notice blooms in my backyard that I hadn’t taken the time to appreciate in years. I appreciated walking along the beach and listening to the waves more than ever. Always grateful for my friends and family, but those random texts asking how everything was going? Meant a little bit more. As we learned to adjust to life that is completely different than anything we were used to, I had the pleasure of spending time with so many amazing people. I mean, just take a look at all these little squares of happiness! This year certainly felt different but I love these awesome people just the same.
