Dear Christopher,
You turned 5 this week! You have been so excited for your Birthday and to finally be 5 – that’s a whole hand! As I watched you open your presents I couldn’t help but get a little teary eyed. When people ask you how old your kids are, it still sounds like you’ve got a little guy when you say one of them is 4. Overnight, that feeling of security for me having a little guy was gone. You are my youngest, my baby, my little side kick.
I’m so thankful for your imagination. You have been playing Captain America for the past two days straight. With a mask, shield and sword you are jumping from couch cushion to floor scaring away the bad guys. Always with sword swishing sound effects. Following tradition and having Birthday pancakes you also requested Trix cereal on top. Why not? It was your Birthday after all.
Love you to the moon! mommy
Please be sure to follow the blog circle and read Katrina’s letter to her son <3
Happy Birthday Christopher!!!!! You made me think that next year my baby will be five too. They grow up so fast. I think that it was a perfect breakfast so that Captain America will have all the energy needed to save the world. Great images and a beautiful letter, Kristin!
What a cutie!!! I hope he had a fabulous birthday. It looked like it started out that way, pancakes with trix on top…. that’s a winner in my book!
