An emotion driven experience

Dear Ryan and Christopher,

We are lucky to live so close to the ocean. It is by far my most favorite place to spend time with you both. You love the water, looking for shells, and chasing each other in the surf. It’s nearly impossible to get Christopher out of the water. Most times you will “fall” purposely with an in coming wave just to get the anticipation of being splashed over with. The temperature of the water makes no difference to you, it’s as if you can’t get enough. The sheer joy on your face is contagious and I can’t help but join you and play tag with the tide.      Ryan, you like to take it all in. Observing the water, looking out and trying to see beyond the horizon. I love watching you stand at the edge as you let the tide come in and wash over your feet. Almost testing or playing a game with the tide and guessing if it will reach you. You love to explore and find things that have been washed up from the bottom of the ocean. Crabs, kelp and seaweed are like a science project for you to investigate. Each of your personalities are seen so easily amongst the sound of the waves.
The beach is my happy place. A place to hang out and just be. I love that we will always have memories of being together and ridiculously happy there.

xoxo,  Mommy

Beautiful, Kristin! Your images are gorgeous and make me smile on this cold northeast morning. I might be a tiny bit jealous that you live near the ocean, but I’ll just enjoy it vicariously through you and your sweet boys!
