Dear Christopher,
You are such an imaginative little guy. There are made up towns and train stops all over the house. You run races up and down the hall between your motorcycle and corvette race car. Usually the corvette wins, but you must have felt badly for the motorcycle because today during lap 11 it took the lead! There is an over abundance of Christmas gifts from Santa and your family. This Lego ship was on your list and you couldn’t stop telling me how excited you were that Santa listened and brought it. I truly wish I could bottle up Christmas morning, and then replay it on those days where bed time couldn’t come quick enough. Watching your excitement as you opened your presents, and how excited you were for your brother was so much fun. You loved visiting grandma and grandpa in Oregon, and said hello first to your favorite fish in grandpa’s tank. It was such a wonderful holiday, I love being a part of the memories that you will remember and always cherish. We are all so lucky. Here’s to 2014!
Love you, mommy

Kristin, this is just adorable! I’m glad Santa brought his Lego ship and that Christopher was so very excited about it!! That’s my favorite part of Christmas morning — seeing that excitement, and anticipating it ahead of time, when we know the perfect present is waiting for them under the tree! And yes, how wonderful it would be to bottle that up. 🙂
Kristin, I think our boys would get along so well. They sound so much alike. Big imaginations are such a magical thing. Love the new ship too. Happy New Year!
This is beautiful, Kristin. These are some of my favorite memories too – even as the kids have grown older. There is always something so special, no matter the age, about a wrapped gift under the tree and the anticipation of what is inside. Sounds like you all had a magical Christmas. <3 Happy New Year!!
Such sweet moments, Kristin. My younger son too was so delighted that Santa listened and remembered his gift wish. Their joy is palpable, isn’t it?
I love seeing his intense expression as he plays with the Lego ship, Kristin. Legos and race cars were big in my house this holiday season, too. Christmas at this age is such a wonderful thing to watch. <3
Perfect image to capture his imagination! I think our little guys would get along great. And I too would love to bottle up Christmas morning for those days when bedtime cannot come quick enough!
I love this image…I want to know what scene he is imagining in that head of his!!! Beautiful color!!!
